Hello, I’m Chris.

I’m Christian Weichel. I work at OpenAI, and co-founded Ona, formerly Gitpod. Before that, I researched human–computer interaction and digital fabrication.

My PhD at Lancaster University explored mixed physical and virtual design environments. There’s a thread running through that work and the tools I build today: bringing an idea a little closer to something you can use.
